Default ******* dented our fender

Whilst at a HOG meeting the other night some ******* damaged the wife's FLD.

We live 1,000 km from the nearest dealership so getting a quote is problematic.

Would it be cheaper to get it repaired on the next trip out or it is easier to just order a new one?

One mate said it is possible to pop out the dent and another said a repair job would not see the same shade of paint.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

It doesn't look there are any creases or loss of paint.
A good dent repair guy should be able to take care of it, and keep that original
paint intact.

I agree with Ragtop, those PDR (paintless dent repair) people can work wonders.

Last year my daily driver car got hailed on, hundreds of dents all over the car, I thought it would be a write-off but PDR took care of every one with no visible effects at all.

There has to be body shop's and repair shop's around you.
I don't know about where you live but around here advice and quotes from professionals are always free.
Talk to a local pro.
You have given us no info about insurance, either from you or the person that did the damage.

Thanks for the advice guys….there is a local panel beater but there are mixed reviews on his work.

It wouldn't hurt to ask though…one mate suggested heating the dent and applying dry ice could pull it out.

Here are a couple of more pics….

have you got a friend with a heat gun? Indirect heat might cause it to pop back in plac3
work on a small section at a time.

Yeah I'd go this route ^^

And people bitch about trailers, rally's, Sportsters etc, THIS is worthy of bitching about for sure. Anyone that could do this and walk away needs a heart to heart talk out back.

Insurance excess if $500 which is a killer.

No idea who did it…when the meeting was over this is what we saw.

The ******* would get more than a talk out the back thats for sure.

Side on view...
