Default my sftl twin cam backfired & now won't start

my '06 softail backfires on startup sometimes, this last time it made a loud pop
then, ran like it was running on 1 cylndr. after changing plugs & intake seals, it has spark 2 the plugs. It turns over staters fine -just won't kick or fire. chckd module, coil, fuses, carb is fine. Don't know what else 2 do. Anybody had the same experience or ideas 2 fix this problem?

Do you have spark at each plug ?
Are you getting gas to the cylinders?
When you turn the start switch to on do you hear a short hissing sound for 3to 5 sec.?
Did you check for a loose battery cable ?
Loose intake manafold clamp carb to motor ?
Could also be bad gas .

I doubt his "CARB" bike is going to be doing much hissing.

BIke needs 3 things to start , gas so make sure it's getting to and through the carb, spark so check the plug wires and plug gaps again, last is compression and while your at it maybe try the kill switch, not joking there you'd be very surprised how often that happens.

It has those there's no reason it shouldn't at least try to fire.

I'd next check crank sensor and battery cables. Are you getting fuel to the carb?
