Just read that

"Wednesday, the South Dakota Department of Transportation released the official traffic tally, up nearly 31 percent over last year’s numbers (390,693).

Traffic counted at eight locations this year tallied up to 510,749 vehicles. Of course, many people were in and out of Sturgis several times over the rally so this is not how many people attended. That estimate has not been released.

This year’s traffic didn’t come close to beating the record 604,441 set during the 60th rally in 2000. But 2015 was the highest total traffic entering Sturgis since 2005 when the total was 524,656.

Monday Aug. 3 was the highest day for traffic entering Sturgis with a total of 96,409 vehicles. The highest day recorded was during the 60th rally on Sunday Aug. 6, 2000, with a total of 110,448 vehicles."

Personally, I was only in town on Monday Aug 3rd, seemed like more folks than that(!)
