Default 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Test Ride and Review

i was so blown away riding Harley's for the first time, and have my mind set on getting a Harley. My good friend has a Road Glide (all decked out) and he told me to ride a Touring bike, and i decided to take the Street Glide for a spin as i liked to look of it so much

in addition to the motorcycle review, i tried to capture some wheelies/burnouts to make it interesting, so you dont get bored

Not sure I like the idea of reving a new engine wide-open like that. Maybe I'm just old schooled about breaking in a brand new engine. Great video!

No schit.

New engine, old engine; I just can't see putting that kind of abuse on anything I own.

May be in the minority here but I believe in taking care of things that I had to work for.

hey Kontiki agree with you, there is limited value in revving a bike, new or used, good call-out, thanks !

I worked at an automobile engine plant and we would hot-test so many engines per shift (somewhere around 16 per day). None of the engines we hot tested were ever babied, and they came right off the assembly line to the hot test. Also they roll test each vehicle at the auto assembly plant, and the testing is pretty vigorous. I think the whole adage of breaking in your engine is not entirely scientific. I would just hit the redline as little as possible for the first 100 miles or so (until the rings settle in). I understand the owners manual tells you differently, but the moco pushes these engines when they are tested.
