Default Mustang Sport Touring seat review

I needed to try a seat with a backrest (bad back) I found this on Craig's list in new condition for $125. It wasn't my first choice but I couldn't pass it up at the price. The worst I could do was buy it and resell it.
I did run into a few problems with the install. The passenger pillion bracket would not reach the rear mounting point so I ordered the adjustable bracket. It was still a tight reach to the rear mount point but it worked.
I have put about 1200 miles on it, the most at one time 200.
The seat is firm with great support. The backrest does it's job well.
The Mustang seat is more narrow than the factory seat and I sit lower on the bike and a bit closer to the bars, maybe an inch. It is much more comfortable than the factory seat.

Looks good. I've put 2,300 mile trips on my Wide Tripper. It has practically no foam at all. This year, for our trip to Blue Ridge, I bought a Harley Aerator pad. I think it will take the "edge" off.

Did you find it at that price with the backrest and the passenger pillion? If so, I need to find one ASAP for my 06 fatboy!

Yes it came with the backrest and passenger pillion. I really lucked out on the deal. The elderly folks I bought it from only had it for a short time and I never asked them why they were selling it. I just wanted to pay for it and go, afraid they would change their minds or tell me the price was a mistake or something.

I also considered "Elderly" to mean someone in a wheelchair or too old to drive a car and sits at a park bench in New York playing checkers. Do "Elderly" people ride motorcycles and go on poker runs and attend MC parties?

Elderly = One who rides motorcycles, has fun on poker runs and attends MC parties with live bands and sausage sandwiches and has grey hair.

Wow, those Elderly people sound cool. I want to be an elderly person! Where can I buy a membership?

My wife and I both ride and have had nothing but Mustang seats. I just replaced mine that had 75,000 miles between two bikes this year and she had one with 50,000 miles that was still like new. She had a Corbin on one of her Softails and hated it. Hard like a rock.

Yeah and Corbins are shaped to throw the rider to the rear. Screws with the ergonomics the bike was designed for.

They were in their 70's and I'm in my 60's. That's a lot of combined wisdom and aleve!
