So after reading so many positive comments about raising the gas tank, I decided to raise mine 1½" in the front and ½"in the back. Wife and I headed out a couple days later for a lunch ride. Got home after about 300 miles and the next day I had to drop the tank to the stock position. I had so much updraft wind that it was really awful My mustache hairs were blowing UP MY NOSE and making me crazy. My beard followed by trying to find a home IN MY MOUTH ! Now, I do have a Road King with a trike conversion, but I don't know how that should matter. Stock RK windshield, no "fangs", 6° front fork rake. I don't know why, but it sure didn't work out for me.

Make me 4th in-line,
I kinda did a mock up lifting my tank,, propped it up while it was on a stand in my garage.
I don't get it either, it looked stupid on just the stock frame and fork rake.
Think tank lifts work on Rockers and Deuces, gets rid of the broken back look, but bikes with any other kind of tank they look a bit odd, plus fuel gets caught in the bottom of the tank which reduces how far you can ride between fill ups, apparently.
I like the way it looks raised a little but I know someone here that did it and he said it messes up the gauge and the tank holds less. So, I passed on it, just for that reason.
