Default Bikers friend bag

http://www.bikersfriend.com/index.html

I am looking at this bag for long trips. It would be nice having the extra storage and a back rest is a big plus.
Wondering if anyone here has any experience with it specifically a touring bike with no passenger backrest. I was thinking about getting an under seat attachment with d rings to hold the bag.

kinda pricy. I bought a simple cheap dry bag and have used it for years. It holds my tent, shock cords and fly, sleeping bag, thermarest and a pillow. Fits right behind me on my softail and it's like riding an armchair.

Actually that looks like a pretty nice bag for the money. I also have a Big Dog K9, and the bag with the backrest would be great for touring. A 600 mile day on a solo seat with no backrest is a long day.....

This thread is definitely in line with my current research. I was pondering just strapping my Camelbak BFM to the sissy bar, but this just looks so much better.

I'd never heard of these bags. I'm gonna have to look into them before my next long trip.

Nice bag, but I agree, it looks pricey. IMO, Kuryakyns are just as nice and less expensive. I've been REAL happy with mine touring bag.

I've had one for about 4 years now and I love it! Mine is always on my bike. It's just so handy for so many things. I did take off the backrest as it wasn't quite hitting me in the right place when riding. I ended up getting a Mustang seat with the rider's backrest on it and love it too. I would highly recommend it and think it is worth the cost.

Nice looking bag. The ad copy states "Rain proof". I have no idea what this means. I use a waterproof Seal bag (aka dry bag). It ain't pretty, but it keeps my stuff bone dry, even in a downpour.

I'm kind of a cheapskate so I use a drybag and a couple of cargo nets. Pull it forward to lean back on, or pull it back when it gets in the way. Drybags are "the bomb"...ride your bike into a lake and your gear still won't get wet.

I'm curious, do you ride with a backrest now? Some people swear by them but I find them a huge annoyance.
