Default Half Shell Input - Looking for one

Half Shell Input - Looking for one
I've been looking for a decent half shell for putting around my immediate area. I have an HD half shell, one of mushroom bulky half shells. It's comfortable for long hauls but...
I need some input from my brothers/sisters as to what half shell I should be looking at and which to avoid. I saw the Outlaw t-68 but I just don't know. I hate ordering anything online when it comes to attire and ending up with junk. Thnx in advance.

Fit is everything.

If you shop online, buy from a retailer with a generous return policy.

The Pit Boss is one of the best I have found, it has an adjustable headband to tweak the fit to your head and theres a flip down sun visor. Very nice lid for the money

+1 on the Pit Boss. I have one and I really like it. Good protection for a half and has a zip in/out neck gaiter; so it's pretty versatile for warm or cool weather. Very comfy and the adjustable headband works well. I ride without a windshield/fairing, and if I get over 65 I just reach back and give the thumbwheel a twist - and no helmet lift. Yes, it does have a bit of the dreaded "mushroom head"; but I could care less.

I have and like the Akoury as well. No "mushroom head" and the quick release ratchet buckle is nice.

Default Half Shell Input - Looking for one

I would suggest finding a local bike accessory shop and trying on the ones that look interesting to find the best fit. Then look on-line for best price. The difference in fit between brands and even models of same brands is broad.

I have a Crazy Al's. I believe it is just a rebranded Akoury. Love it. Best half shell I have ever had.

I got an old worn out Fulmer that I love. Can't buy those any more, but I'd let it go for the right price...

this season I got a Daytona with the drop down visor. Its been working well for me but its not as comfortable for my head as the bikers choice it replaced. The drop down visor is the **** i must say.
