hi from bainbridge hd

Default hi from bainbridge hd

hi all,obtained myself a harley at last,a question i would like an answer on if pos,
i need to park my bike for a short while in my garage,i have no electric in the garage and the hassle of taking the battery off each time is a pain,would it be ok to pull the main fuse leaving the battery as it wont have anything to run

The main fuse pulled should be the same as pulling one of the battery terminals, but why don't you consider a small solar panel?

There's no reason to keep it plugged in unless it's going to sit for weeks at a time. You should be good for a week or more without charging.

Congratulations on your new motorcycle. I like those solar chargers, but you should be fine for a couple of weeks at a time.

You'll be fine if you ride it once every week or two in the spring, summer, and fall. Pull the battery during the winter and keep it on a trickle charger in the house. Congrats on the new ride.

hi and thanks for the reply,we just took a week in fuerteventura,came back to find the bike would not start,had to take it off to optimise it,

thanks,i did wonder what power it would need to work,in the uk the weather this last few years has been crap to say the least,cloud being the prob,
