Default Put a deposit down on my first ever Harley.

I have been riding motorcycles for over 45 years. I have always owned Japanese bikes. Up until this year I have always been against buying Harley. I recently bobbed out my wife's Suzuki 800 and loved it. I was looking at buying something bigger and bobbing it out, until I went on two back to back Harley day rides, a couple of weeks ago. Well I fell in love with the new Softail Slim S. Today I finally made up my mind on the green colour, after asking the sales manager which of the two colours he would buy. He said if I got the black, with everything blacked out, it would just look like another black bike. The green one will always stand out in a crowd. I called in the deposit today for a March build. Hopefully my first Harley will be a good one.

Congrats on the new bike. I love my Slim and have ridden it through a number of states and have had an all around great experience with it. Over 25K miles in 2 years and I couldn't be happier.

When you defer to the salesman on the color choice of your bike, you're definitely Harley material. Stick around while we teach you all about engineering boots, chaps, leather vests and which styles of jeans you can wear.

Congratulations on the purchase. The first Harley is a special one. You will love the Slim S.

Now you have a little time to think about where you will put the gas cap when fueling the bike.

A March build? Seriously, a 6 month wait?
