On my trip to Algonquin Park I came across this guy, a full racked bull moose. I have been driving through Algonquin for over twenty years and when the guy in front of me lit up his tail lights I knew what was going on. I had just let that guy pass me about a 1/2 mile before this bull walked out on us. The fish eye view on the camera doesn't do it justice just how close it actually was. He walked out..stopped right in front of the guy and just looked at him before strolling across the highway. A few months ago in Algonquin I drove by (in a car) a Honda Civic the was completely flattened. Right in front of the car was a female moose. It was not pretty.

 

I wonder, do you know if there is usually more than one like deer?

 

Unlike deer that want to stay away from people, I've heard that moose will come after your A$$ and try to stomp you!

 

Just family, I have never seen two adults together. I am no expert but I have only ever seen mom and calf together.

No, at least not up there. I have other video where I walk within 20 feet of moose. Now that being said the moose up there are used to seeing people so it may be different in other areas.

 

I spend my fair share of time riding in "deer country" and have had to break for a couple. Glad I don't have to worry about moose too!

 

Saw the results of a car moose collision while driving through the Rockies one night.

Not a pretty site.

I also had a dream one time of being chased by a moose. I was so realistic and vivid that I think about it often.

 

That would hurt

 

A deer will do the same thing.

Might not be quite as common but they will turn on you.

 

Now that you mention that, I do remember seeing some videos where a deer was kickin AZZ on some guy...LOL
