Angry 2000flhtc

Let me start by telling the story how i've arrived here.
Bought his 2000 flhtc 24 weeks ago every once in awhile at high rpm it would quit running, still had lights and all but had to turn key off then back on to start. Would run fine for awhile then quit again. Didnt do it all the time.
Road to ohio from florida it quit a few times.but started right back up.
Then it happened- it quit and wouldn't start up,battery dead
replaced battery ran for awhile- bad battery again went thru 3 aftermarket batteries, then it quit charging, had to replace stator, regulator and relay and put a hd battery in.
Now im back to the other problem with it quitting at high rpm.
Was told to check for code-none
check wires-replaced ground cable and made good connections.
Still not it
replaced ecm box-still not it
pulled filter out of tank and cleaned
droped bowl off carb and cleaned.
Replaced wires,plugs,coil-not it
replaced ignation switch-not it
finley replaced the bank angle switch(rollover shut off)and it seemed to fix it --- then
on the way back to florida between ky. And tenn. It started it again shutting off at 50-60 mph.all the way to fla.
Any suggestions???? Any and all are welcomed.

Probably not much help...but if were me, after all that, I'd just get it running and trade it in on a newer bike. Could just be a lemon, but electrical problems once they start can be a nightmare in any vehicle. Find an independent motorcycle mechanic and see what he thinks.

I agree with Daninjax to an extent. My question is, once you replaced the bank sensor, how long did it run before it started its crap again? I ask this b/c I have seen where stuff gets replaced and it is a bad part and goes out fairly quick. I replaced a coil once in my car with a bad one. Ran find for a day or 2 and then bam right back where i was. I'm not a mechanic and am not the best with motorcycles, but I would check that bank sensor if that is where you got your most progress. If you check it and its good, get off the bike!!! I had a car do stuff like this once. It was a lemon. Spent 6months out of 9 in the shop b4 i got off the car.

I bought a 2000 U/C FLHTCUI new.
When it got older (13 years/75,000 miles) I started having minor issues with the MM EFI System, crappy idle at constant, low rpm mostly.

The only time my bike ever quit running was due to a defective/worn out handlebar "kill switch".
Not saying that this is your problem but it drove me nutty having a bike that I couldn't depend on.

Good luck.

I have had trouble with the engine temperature sensor on more than one occasion with my '97 Ultra (RIP) and also my current '02 Ultra as well. SAME SYMPTOMS as you describe!

Are the handlebars stock? If not, you may have a wire grounding out.

If you remove the fairing front, look where the wiring harness runs under the radio. Mine was installed over a sharp edge, and chafed thru the wire insulation. I had the bike cut out at speed when I would hit a bump.
