Default 2016 Ultra or 2016 Limited?

I'm giving some thought to trading in my current touring bike and going with either the Ultra or Limited and I would like to get your thoughts. Is the Limited really worth the extra $3000 plus? Aside from the water cooled exhaust ports what is the difference in the two? My current bike is air cooled and I have no problem with that. ABS brakes is also something I really don't need. What am I missing?

Chrome vs. aluminum finish on the wheels, heated grips and linked braking...not sure what else. The water cooled heads once they got the water pump issue resolved I believe is a good thing to reduce heat. You may think that you don't NEED ABS but it is something that is nice to have cause one day...well you know the story...

I bought my Ultra because I didn't need the extra 'stuff' on the Limited. I live in a warm climate but was not interested in the cooled heads. I do have linked brakes and ABS, and would not be without either system

I did a little homework, probably something I should have done before I started this thread. I went on the HD web-site and printed out the specs of each bike and compared/highlighted the differences in the two.

Limited vs Ultra

Color options $2850 more

Security system standard $395
Prem. radio standard $795
Weight running 896 lbs. 879 lbs.
GPS screen 6.5" 4.3"
Voice recog. more languages English only
Text to speech " " "

Engine
Twin cooled standard NA
Compression 10:1 9.7:1

Wheels Chrome/Aluminum Aluminum

If I left anything out let me know.

You are so right I never had ABS before my last bike and learned quick how great they are. Bought a 2015 Limited and my 1st question was does it have ABS. Been riding for yrs and thought I never needed them but when I did they saved my ***.

Default abs

The day you used linked ABS to save your life and I hope you never need too will be 100% glad you have them. I had an old Mercedes stop in the middle of the street to look at what was being sold at a yard sale, I had one of those moments where I thought Sh#! this is going to hurt. Because I had linked ABS I was able to avoid hitting metal. However I came very close to sh#!ing in my pants.

"However I came very close to sh#!ing in my pants"

Does the Limited offer Depends as standard equipment or is that extra?

ABS along with linked brakes is standard on both isn't it? My '15 Ultra has it!

I bought a Ultra w/6.5 Boom and security. Why? Because I run with the lowers off at least 8 months out of the year.

ABS is worth twice what they cost.

The water part of any bike...useless in my book.

Depends (in bright white) are standard on all geezer glides.

Custom colors (Metamucil orange, Viagra blue) are extra.
