Default Reckless or dead center road king fairing?? Asap

Hey there, I am new to the site but have a really important question. I have read about every thread there is to read about all the different fairings there are. I have a chance to buy one of two fairings and need to know which is the better purchase from those that know the fairings. The first is a dead center fairing with upgraded 6.5" speakers and a amp for $1100. The second is a reckless fairing with 6x9 speakers and the sony head unit for $600. Is the dead center that much better quality? Does it look more OEM as in does it have a better fit? Thanks for any help.

Pics would be helpful. I have no idea what the fairings look like.

Thanks for the pics. I like the Reckless fairing. The backside where the radio mounts looks cleaner. It also allows for larger 6x9 speakers for better sound. (I'd paint the speaker grates black.)

Do you think the 6x9 will be louder than the 6.5 that are amped? And that was one thing I liked about the dead center was the black on black speakers.

They both look good to me.

I'd like to have one without any radio- maybe just a lockable storage space.

Reckless makes them with no radio!

I can't speak for the Dead Centers but I can speak of the Reckless.

I've had my Reckless fairing for two weeks now and I like it very much.

I think though you'll need to take another look at the price.
$600 is a bit low.

I think for around $800 you can get the Sony head unit, two 6X9 speakers a 12v outlet, a windshield and the black gelcoat non-painted fairing.

I loaded mine up and got the non-painted (black gelcoat) fairing, 8" clear windshield, windshield trim, 12v power plug, USB and 3.5mm input plug, Infinity Bluetooth stereo, Rockford PBR300X4 amp, 4 polk audio speakers, and the Infinity handlebar controls.

Total cost was $1285.00.

Don't tell your Touring friends that you went there but below is a link to my review on the Softail forum.
