I'm looking to upgrade my boot game from redwing 988s.

i'm looking at

1. Chippewa Men's 17 Inch Engineer Steel Toe Boot
2. Wesco Rjl Custom Engineer Boot

open to advice and reccos.

 

Hand made in Spokane Washington and can be sent back time after time to rebuild! I have had my logger smoke jumpers for over 10 years and their still in fair shape! I would recommend the packer for riding. Hands down my favorite all time boots.

 

I'd get option #1. I always liked the tall boots. I even had some in the 70s.

If it was me and I had the opportunity to do so, I'd try them both on and see which one felt the best to me and then I'd buy it.

 

I have a few pair. Double H engineer boots that I like a lot. An old pair of HD boots that were still made in USA. Newer ones suck IMO and all made overseas. My favorites are the Chippewa Rally boots I picked up at Fox Creek. True to size so no worries there plus they have free shipping.

I have a pair of 17" Wesco's that I really like. If you have the time and money you can have Wesco custom make anything you want. U.S. made also.
