Nasty way to end a day. Considering that when we fill the tank that is sitting right on top of the hot engine and exhaust, I wonder how much of a contributing factor not shutting the engine off really was.

Try it.....Let us know.

In my 46 years of riding motorcycles, I have never had a bike go up in flames at the fuel pumps and have never known anyone that has had that happen or even seen that happen.

But, I've never known anyone stupid enough to leave their bike running while they were fueling it.

Is it just my imagination, or isn't there a sign on every gas pump that says "NO SMOKING-STOP ENGINE"?
