Just curios why you bought a Harley instead of another brand.
Seems like I'm seeing more and more guys on Harleys that I never would have years ago. First sign of male pattern baldness, and they shave their head, grow a grey goatee, and buy a "custom" chopper or Harley. Add shorts, flip-flops, and a do-rag....instant "biker"

As for me, always have, always will. Started on a hardtail Sportster that I bought as a basket case (or a milk crate case, as it came home in 3 of them). Built and rode that bike for 18 years.

Not trying to be a dick, just wondering. I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but... maybe I am just a dick. Ride safe.

I learned to ride on an old ironhead rigid frame with 48* rake.

I then rode honda, yamihaha and then went back to the tried and true will never go back.

 

Had to quit riding when the kids came along 22 years ago. The deal I had was once they were grown, out of college, and on their own I would get another bike. The deal was completed last August. Why a Harley? Never considered anything else. Victory? Flash in the pan. Indian? Just another opportunity to go out of business. We live in America, I buy American.
Started losing my hair at 19, had a goatee before it was cool. Insta-biker? I guess so. But you can thank me and the other 150000 new owners who bought bikes last year. It seems the only "real bikers" accounted for less than half of their new sales (268,400). If they cant grow their business, they can't stay in business.

The way they hold their value was #1. Oh yah....Women love Harley's!!!!!!!!

1. Learn to wipe my own butt......Check
2. Graduate High School......Check
3. Get Laid......Check
4. Buy a Harley.....Check
5. Die.......Awaiting Action.

I have always wanted a big loud harley my entire life, then a few days after my 28th birthday I woke up one day and thought F*** it im going for it.

Just bought a 03 softail heritage classic a couple days ago, and cant wait to take it out.

 

It was the first motorcycle I ever saw and the sound was what drew me to them.There is nothing that sounds sweeter than a Harley under load.Oh, other than a 2 cylinder John Deere tractor.
