Default Battery

I charged my battery. Afterwards all lights, horn, etc. worked but when I hit the starter absolutely nothing happens. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a new battery, or you have a bad connection - do the lights dim when you hit the starter?

You provide very little information, ........ which usually doesn't work in your favour.

Autozone and such places will load test the battery free of charge.

Still may be the battery. Take it in and have it load tested. If it fails, get a new battery, If it tests ok, then check all your cable connections. Make sure all are good and tight. If it still won't crank, it could be your starter motor or the relay.

After you check your connections (don't forget the chassis ground) check the starter relay.

Year of bike?
How old is battery?

Is the run switch set to run?
If you have a FOB, is it in range?
If you do have security, did you try entering security bypass code?

So many things to check when you say "absolutely nothing" happens

My bet is on the "Run" switch...but I'll just sit here with my popcorn and watch to see if he comes back and tells us.

edit: LOL, his last post was in Aug. of 2007. This is his second post since he's joined. I don't think we'll hear from him again on this post.

As a couple of others have mentioned, did you have your run switch on when you tried to start your bike? Sometimes it's the simple things that will get ya the most.
