Short Review on Ohlin's for 2015 Street Glide
I received my order of Ohlin 2-2a rears from Motorcycle Metal in Florida. After chatting with Howard a couple of times about shocks in general, I made the purchase. The 2-2a was the right choice for me, since I wanted to keep it close to stock height. I had my local HD tech install them since my garage is not up and running yet. We set them up per Howard's directions for 2 up riding. Took off on a 200 mile day trip to see the difference over the stock air system. My wife and I agreed it was much improved, but seemed a little stiff. When we arrived back home, I pulled the bags and adjusted the preload settings a couple of turns soft. We took it back out for a short spin down the highway and some well known bumpy streets. We noticed an immediate difference going over bridge joints and bumps in town. That little bit of fine tuning was all it took to put a big smile on my face and my butt cheeks too. But here's the down side.....
Like a few riders had mentioned here, after changing the rears you suddenly realize how bad the stock fronts are. So next month the fronts will be the project.
