Default Fairing Pouches

I like the usage of the top vent on the batwing fairing of the 14 and up models. I want to put a set of fairing pouches up there, but they look like they will block the vent (at least the Harley Pouches do). Anyone using the fairing pouches on the new models and are you giving up the functionality of the vent by using them?

I am wondering the same thing and never got around to ask. Going to follow your thread from time to time to see what others have to say.

The very same thing goes for Ultra Limited's lower fairing storing spaces that has been replaced with radiators.

Don't the HD ones have a slant to it for the vent so that it still works. That's what I was told

My '15 Limited with the HD fairing pouch.
The vent still works.

I also added a pouch to the left side of the lowers.
Those covers snap off, so I was able to drill a couple of small holes in one and use small screws to fasten the pouch.

With the fairing pouch can you still get to the fairing vent button?

One of my co-workers just traded in his Pre Rushmore Tri Glide for a new 2016 Tri Glide. He added a who lot of stuff at the dealer, including this windshield pouch. I was looking it over and it appears that the pouch is constructed in such a way as to keep the air flow thru the vent and the access to the button is also not restricted.

Have had my pouch on for roughly 18 months. Didn't have it the first few months. I would say most of the vented air is blocked, around 75%.

Update: I'm about 30 days into having these on my bike. They do block most of the air through the vent. They have a slanted shape under the bottom to allow easy access to the button for the vent, but they do block most of the air. I'm probably going to take them off.
