Default Careful with that oil filter

Dont overtighten your oil filter. I got mine off today but I put it on way to tight last time I changed it.
A good snug is all it takes. It could have been a bad experience if it was much tighter than it was. JMHO

Lube the new filter with a little fresh oil around the rubber part. Makes it easier getting it off next time

I put all oil filters on by hand, never a wrench.

While on the topic of filters , don't forget to change your ac/heater filter, they just slide in.

I know an oil change is easy but before you put the new filter on make sure the rubber gasket/ring from the old filter didn't stay on the filter base. I have towed more cars that had a oil change and the gasket from the first filter stayed behind while the oil change guy spun a new filter on.
