Ummm...why did you post this in the Forum Issues section? Did you mean to post it somewhere else?

I agree. seems a lot of people have an instant aversion to anything that is labeled 'hd' but I picked up one of these when they first came out so I could do the oil changes on my roadking custom, which is lowered from the factory. a regular oil drain pain did not work without having to lift the bike up some, and that was just a pita.

I felt then, and still do, that it was well worth the price of admission. even if it does have a bar and shield on it, along with orange plugs

My $3 Walmart oil pan has always worked fine for me but this oil pan is on my "Dad's" Christmas list.

Isn't this forum "General Harley Chat"?

I have one too, felt like a tool buying a HD branded oil pan though.

Used it last weekend to change all 3 holes and I was glad I had it. Easily catches all 3 at once on the jiffy, seals up for transfer to the store for disposal and stores out of the way behind my tool chest for next time

Mine was free. Took one of the wife's prize brownie/cake pans. Well...not exactly free.
Didn't get no brownies or cake for a long time after that.

Cut the front or back out of an old gallon oil container and it slides right under.

Free!

When I first saw these at the dealer I thought it would work great on my wife's lowered SGS but couldn't bring myself to drop 30 bucks on an oil pan. My father in-law got one for his trike and I used it. Works great, just don't forget to remove the vent plug before you pull the drain plug on the bike or you will have a big mess on your hands.

Ask me how I know LOL!
