What made you want to ride
When I was a kid my mom and dad bought my two brothers a mini bike, well them destroying it ruined my chance at getting one. But then when my oldest brother was 18 he got a bike and took me for a ride. then later on my other brother had a bike for a few years and everytime I saw him on it I got more interested. I was a musician for 23 years and after I was done with that, I sold all my gear and bought my first bike and havn't looked back since

I took a 30 year hiatus between riding periods. The first scared the hell out of me, and took a lot of skin.
I got wiser the second time and took advantage of HDs free class for .mil folks.
I think my naturally rebellious streak finally broke through half a lifetime of order and rules. It allows me to be alone with the road and a purring 103 underneath me. I found that I could outrun my demons, even if only for a few hours. That was enough for me. I was hooked.

Somewhere around age of 12 or so....dirt bikes of friends, an an uncles moped....he had one of them Vespas with the 3 speed rotating hand control. I remember this one long steep hill about a mile down from my house...crouching down low and hauling as fast as I could get that moped to go. And grinning from ear to ear.
Around that time (~12 years old) I was boating a lot too....anything that went fast, and had your face in the wind!

I would guess that when I first saw motorcycles in movies and tv shows, I said to myself "that looks fun" and "that is something I should do." At age 12, I started asking the parents for a motorcycle. At 13, they got me a Kawasaki KE100 enduro. Had lots of fun riding on and off road on it. From there, things just took off and it was one sweet bike after another. Now, 36-37 years later, I have had 10 motorcycles.
