Default Riding attire advice please

I ride my bikes year round & this is my first cruiser & rode the 60 mile round trip to work in 45 degree weather the other morning & about froze.

I dressed like I would on my sport bikes which obviously works fine with my legs tucked up behind me but not now with my legs out in front.

What do you guys wear on your legs to keep them warm in cold weather?

Sorry for the cruiser newbie question, trying to learn here.

Chaps.

Problem solved.

I have a pair of "Hot Leathers" that I think work great for the cost. Only complaint is that the liner has gotten sucked into the zipper in the past...

You won't be sorry and probably amazed at just how much they keep the wind/cold out.

If you're not into the leather look, Klim and other companies make long underwear that's great for riding. Gives good insulation without being bulky.

Your rain gear is a great way to cut the windchill and stay much warmer.

I wear long underwear any time it's under 55. Heated jacket liner and gloves under 40 all day.

Thermal underwear pants and if it's bad, Freeze Out pants. And of course, chaps.

I wear sport riding boots on all my bikes with appropriate (winter or summer) Klim or Alpinestar socks. Long underwear when it's below upper 50s. Has kept me fairly warm. Can't say what to do when it gets really cold - no such thing down her along the Gulf coast.
