Default HF 1500 lb. Capacity Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ram

Be careful with this

1500 lb. Capacity Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ramp

I was unloading my RKC last night and heard a pop while I was rolling down the ramp. After I got my bike down I looked at the ramp and the rivets holding one of the cross members had "popped" off.

I returned the ramp this morning and got my money back.

Second time I used it. Only had it for about a month.

yea that could have been bad.

I drive my bike into my loft's loading dock with this ramp. The longer one.

I've had it for a couple of years, rock solid. I do inspect it from time to time. It's bolted down to cement. Might want to check it out. It gets constant use, no issues.

I could be wrong but those 1500lb HF ramps are rated as a pair. Since a motorcycle is a single track device, you only had a 750lb capacity on one ramp. You and the Road King probably exceeded that weight.

I built a ramp from some plywood, and 4x4's. I have to take the tail gait off to use it, but it is solid, and wide. I really don't want to end up on youtube.

I do something similar but a wood ramp can be one heavy sucker.

Surely not worth the $99 to support a $20K bike.
As old Roy would say...Nickel holding up a dollar!

As with a lot of Harbor Freight's merchandise, but not all of it, you get what you pay for.
Caveat emptor.
