I know a lot of folks like to wait until the last minute to plan for Sturgis, and some folks hate the Buffalo Chip. For those that ARE planning to attend, you can save a lot of money by getting on the ball now.

The extended rally pass for the Chip was $195 until today when they made the first band announcement. It's now $235. So, now is the time to plan. Do it now, and you're way ahead of the game!

I'll be buying my ticket soon. I'm in but all my buddies are dragging their feet. I've gone alone before so I'm not depending on their answer. Thanks for the heads up.

Just saw the video, I've seen Kid Rock up there like 4 times. Not really a big fan of his but he really does a great show. Looks like tix went up $40 for the week too. It will be another $160 by summer though.

Personally, I think that's good advice. When a friend of mine and I were planning on going to Sturgis in 2011, right after the rally was over in 2010 we started making our plans then because it was our first time and we didn't know what to expect so we starting planing early just in case and everything worked out great that way.

I made campground reservations a couple of days ago. Not the Chip though, I can't hang.

Default Good advice

Yea, if you are sure you are going, it pays to buy early. I already bought my BChip pass for 2016 at the discount and can't wait.

I checked on the campground that I have stayed at for the last 4 years, the very same spot I paid $350.00 for is now $650.00, that is higher then I paid for the 75th, no thank you.

That is for a trailer spot for electricity and water, I will be 68yo next year health won't let me ride 1200 miles.

Lots and lots and lots of very good campgrounds in this area.
If I were doing it, I'd probably get together with some others and rent a house.
Cheaper in the long run.

We booked a house about 10 days after this years rally was over. The brokers could not commit to us until the rally was over and they first asked this years renters if they wanted to come back. I think this is the earliest we have ever booked out lodging and it feels great to not be worrying about that all winter.

We scored a killer house right outside of Deadwood, going to be a good rally.
