Default What happened to no7 chrome polish?

I know others must of used this product which removed rust from chrome and made your chrome look new again. Well it looks like they changed the formula to a pink crap which is terrible and does nothing, I ordered some and sent it back, the original formula was a dark brown color and worked sweet this stuff is no better than a turtle wax. junk junk!!!! don't waste you money on it.

You're showing your age ... I've got two cans ( old stuff ) in the cabinet and they look like antiques ... but the stuff really works.

I'm old too LOL. And I remember that old DuPont #7 polish well. Growing up in Ohio it worked great for removing rust from less than perfect condition chrome. But on the other hand, the stuff was so aggressive and abrasive that I would never recommend using it on nice chrome. You could ruin brand new nice chrome with that stuff in a heartbeat.

Good old nevrdull chrome polish/wadding always works for me, not that old no. 7 didn't do the job.

The No. 7 probably had asbestos, radiation and lead based stuff in it that's why it worked. Most of the watered down stuff doesn't do jack lately. I've been using Poor Boys Natty's Blue on chrome and it's pimp.

Check AutoGeek.com for professional stuff you won't find at the auto parts stores.
