Default Road King Value

Hope I am in the right section.

I have been wanting a touring bike for about a year now and have read this forum for all the advice on what to look for on a used bike and how the mods affect the price but still want opinions as to what would be a good price for this bike on CL. I do like the fairing and the detach trunk so that is a plus. I have not been to look at it yet, just want to be prepared. Is the asking price about average, high, or pretty decent? Thanks.

Edit: 20k miles

Good news is that it is on the redesigned frame and looks pretty decked out. His price is a fair starting point IF the miles are reasonable. I bet nobody will offer him anything with a 13 in front of the price though at this point of the riding season.

None of the accessories add much to the price. NADA has average retail for a '10 Road King at $11,600.

And Ill bet the trade is below 9K. hit him half way and see if he bites assuming miles are not high. When miles get over 25k, I think you gotta really look at maintenance history and that craps hard to come by.

One crappy photo? No VIN? No miles? Ad seems like an impulse afterthought.

This. I Paid less than $10k for my 2010 RKC in September. It didn't have a fairing (But did have the windshield) or drivers backrest but it was under 15k miles and came with a sundowner and a leather Tour Pak. Pretty much bone stock other than the that. It needed a new rear tire, but wasn't so bad I didn't ride it 200+ miles home.

Default Road King Value

It looks about high/average for my area. The guy knows he's got some desirable stuff associated- a color matched detachable fairing and tourpack is really nice to have on a King. You probably won't want them on all the time but they're nice when you need them. You'll be into those for a lot of money depending on the brand and quality of the products and the paint if you want to add them to a different Road King.
