Does Harley offer a "Destroyer" version of this V-Rod for sale to the general public?

They used too. In 2006 you could walk right into a dealer and buy one right off the showroom floor. But they were NEVER street legal. I think they were about 30K. The one thing I love about the Destroyer was, although not street legal, it was in fact a true, by every definition, factory production motorcycle. And for a short period of time, it was none other than Harley Davidson who owned the title of fastest production motorcycle in the world.

I would hardly call the Destroyer a production motorcycle. It came equipped with a slick, an air shifter, open exhaust, and wheelie bars. Put any ONE of them 4 items on a bone stock Hayabusa, or ZX14 and your looking at mid to low 9 second quarter mile times. As much as I love Harleys Im the first to admit that compared to the imports they are severely down on performance. Then there is the legitimacy of the Vance and Hines Pro Stock effort. Some say that their domination in Pro Stock motorcycle is akin to bringing a gun to a fist fight.

They should've. The rules are rigged so heavily in H-D's favor as to be laughable.
