Default Biltwell Cafe Seat.

Any word on these?

Looking to get one for my XL1200C, just wanted to get some thoughts from anyone who has one.

I had one. It was the first aftermarket seat I bought for my Sportster. Like most aftermarket "Cafe" stuff, it has a certain look, but not very comfortable to spend time on. Reflective of the price actually

I decided after a few months that the phoney cafe look was lame, and went for comfort instead, finally settling on a Mustang Vintage Solo.

The LePera Silhouette was a close second. I really liked the look of the LePera, but I was looking for all day comfort. I was done with the LePera after three or four hours

Thanks for the info Mike.

I'm not super concerned with comfort. I commute on the the thing daily but I only put down about 20 miles a day. I'm coming from a Ninja so I'm used to not being comfortable riding.

What do you have to say about the build quality? I am keeping the price in mind while asking that.

Build quality....I guess it's ok for a seat that cost a buck and a half. It fit alright, but another hole had to be drilled on top of the fender since the mount tab doesn't line up with any of the stock mounting holes. I didn't notice that before buying it. Going back to the site I bought it from, in very small print was the statement that another hole had to be drilled.

The tuck and roll cover was well done. And yeah, it had about the same padding as a typical sportbike seat!

Edit:

Pics...
First one, Biltwell Cafe.
Second, LePera Silhouette
