Hey all new to the forum I really made this to ask this one question I cannot get an answer too.... I have an 04 dyna super glide. I want to put Vance and Hines Side Shots on it. The pipes are only spec for 06 and newer.

I have seen guys with side shots on 90's models and I've seen on YouTube a guys with my exact bike with the side shots on it.

Will the pipes work on my bike or am I **** out of luck. Any input will help. Neither harley or Vance can tell me why they will or will not fit. Thanks.

 

It's quite possible the frame mounts or brackets were changed for 04 and 05 Dynas. I have a 05 LowRider some stuff is the same as my 02 Dyna and some are in a league of their own.

 

I have heard so many different answers but after a lot of research I think I've nailed it down to having to do with the o2 sensor set up in the pipe in relation to the 05- lower dynas not having any o2 sensors.

If you have anybody else that you can share this with to get some more input I would appreciate it. Like I said I'm new to the forum. Any input will help.

I agree but some companies can be just this side enough of stupid to stay in business. For instance, my 01 Road King is nearing completion of a complete makeover. Saw an exhaust (Akrapovic) I just had to have. The company claims it will fit 06 to 13 models. Ummmm, pretty sure a TC is a TC regardless of the year. That exhaust now sounds and looks great on my bike.

I even went so far as to send them an email stating what I just wrote. They were kind enough to respond saying they only post the years their engineers know it will work on. I replied to that with a picture of it on my bike. A few other choice words but you can only help some people so much....
