Default Leftover 2015 Street Glide Special

Hi guys,

I currently have a Wide Glide but really want a street glide or road glide. My Harley dealer has 2 leftover '15 street glide specials left and said they could give me a really good deal, but they always say that...

Curious if anyone recently purchased a 15' street glide and if so how much did it run you?

Thanks,
James

Can't help you except to say that my sister bought a leftover 14 in September of last year for right at $22,000 out the door.

Hmmm, this time of year.....I'd offer invoice including the freight, which is right around $18800 for a black one. Add appropriate amount for optional color. If your WG is clean with decent miles, I think getting trade-in book value would be fair. Add to that sales tax and registration. Voila, there's my offer. No additional fees, take it or leave it. A 15 SGS is killing your dealer's allocation of 16 SGSs, so he'll want to move it and an offer like that isn't out of line. They'll probably say yes, plus "fees". Tell them to give you more for your WG to cover the fees. If you really want the SGS, pay the extra fees.

I've said it many times, OTD prices on this forum don't mean anything when trying to compare deals. Different tax rates, different registration fees, some dealers collect them, some don't. Tell the price including freight plus the dealer's 'Mickey Mouse' fees and we can compare deals. If there's a trade-in involved, tell the difference between the selling price and the trade-in allowance, including freight and dealer fees (we don't even have to know the selling price or allowance, just the difference). All the other variables are different in different states and counties. Hell, NH has no sales tax. How do you compare an OTD price in CA with someone who lives in NH?

Thumbs up

I bought a black left over 2015 SGS about a month ago. Saved $1800.00 over the same 2016s MSRP. My dealer does not charge freight or set up. With the limited riding time, I was only able to put 400 miles on it and by the looks of the weather, it will be stored until spring. Right now we are in the middle of a major winter storm here in Iowa.

I bought a new 2016 SG in September, when I worked the deal the thought they had a leftover 2015. The day I show up to complete the sale they had made a mistake. So they honored the price on a 16 model. Needless to say I was OK with it.

In December of 09, I bought a leftover 09 Road King for 15% less than the 2010 models on the showroom floor.

I got my '15 RGS for roughly $2,500 off the "regular" price.

This could give you an idea of what you should ask for. This is the lowest price I've seen in the USA search. Ask the dealer in your area for this price. If this dealer is willing to sell it, maybe they will?
Good luck
