Default Bouncing voltage gauge

My 2010 Streetglide's voltage meter is bouncing sometimes when the bike is moving. Seems to stay steadywhen at idle or stopped. Any body else seen this before? New gauge or hopefully there is a way to fix...

My bike did that just before the regulator went.

Check all your connections, then check the voltage regulator. If you google "how to check a harley voltage regulator", you'll come up with pages that tell you exactly how to use your multimeter. You will need a good multimeter that has a "capacitor" setting on it for 1 of the tests you'll be required to do. A good Fluke multimeter will have what you need.

I know this is going to sound crazy or off the wall but it may be a bad front wheel bearing it would not be the first time for that to be a sign it would not take much trouble to pull the front tire off and check it

Default Bouncing Needle

Had same thing on my 2005. Turned out to be loose negative cable on battery. Check simple stuff first.
