Trying to decide if they are worth the price. I am sure safety wise they are top notch, but my bigger concern is how they will hold up on cross country rides. That's when I will be wearing it the most. In the cold, in the raid, 600-800 mile days. I've heard they can be a little leaky in the rain and are pretty loud. Anyone have some real life/seasonal input? I have gotten plenty of good reviews from buddies in So Cal, but it never really rains there. Thanks in advance

 

Great helmets. Be sure you get one designed for bikes. The ones designed for race cars will give you tons of wind noise on a bike.

 

Simpson makes great helmets, I've worn the automotive ones, but why limit yourself to them for the bike when there are so many other awesome companies out there, many of which do wind tunnel testing.

 

Great for race cars……or used to be. Made over seas now I think. I used to buy them exclusively for my drag car. But something changed and they don't fit anymore.

The other thing is with Snell ratings, them sumb!tch's are heavy!

So, like the other's have said, lots of choices out there for that kind of money
