Selling a bike you hate to sell...

No CC, I don't. I also don't have kids or a wife. Drive a '92 Dakota with 185,000 miles on it. Live in a 975sq.ft. house. Wear jeans and boots 100 percent of the time. Cook my own food, do my laundry and keep my yard and garden without any help.
I am happier now than at any other time in my life on a modest state worker salary. My dogs and cats and I get along fine, have good neighbors and plenty of friends. And every time I think of getting a girlfriend I look back at my 70 years on this planet and say WTFU... -L-
This is part of my family -- 17-year-old Ki-chan the Shiba Inu and Max, the 13-year-old Golden. Christmas shopping is easy.

Have never traded in a Harley, have always sold them before getting another one. Several years ago had a white WG that I really loved. Sold it when I sold our house prior to traveling full time in our 5th wheel.
Of all my bikes over the years it really killed me to sell that one. But now that I am mid 60's I guess it is time to grow up and just stay on a bagger.

Note the license plate on the attached photo... It's a temporary... It is attached to my 99 FXDWG...
A couple weeks ago I decided on a whim to buy my wife a 14 Indian Vintage with 154 miles on it, she always thought they were so pretty... I decided to trade my WG, I just didn't ride it that often anymore.. I vacillated the trade decision in my mind for a little while partly because I just had a service done including tuneup, less than 200 miles on new tires, just had the front forks resealed and more...
I let them have it for what worked out to be $3900... Kinda hurt riding it down there, felt kinda like giving up my dog or something. Riding the Indian home didn't help (somewhat disappointed).. Anyway wife was ecstatic, she loved the scoot (she hasn't ridden it yet), but couldn't believe I traded in WG.. A few days later she walks by, and notices I was looking at the WG on the dealers website.. Next thing I know she's handing me 'her' envelope out of the safe "go get it back, Merry Christmas".. I thought about it for a few minutes, handed her the envelope back and said, no, I made a mistake, I'll pay for it... In the end; I paid full asking on the Indian and $1600 for a detail job on the WG, LOL
