FP3 vs SERT with V&H Power Duals and Hi Output Mufflers
Thinking about doing the FP3 with V&H Power Duals and Hi Output Mufflers for my Stage 1. I've never tuned anything before, but have played with the FP3 Demo App. Is it really that easy? Dealer will install the pipes but will only do the SERT and Dyno. They say trying to remap the bike with the FP3 is a risk because the maps will run differently on every bike and I won't know what to tweak to get it running right. Is that true? Should I be worried about trying this if I've never done any work on my bike before?

Lots of peeps like using the FP3. Without installing a new air intake, you're not actually completing a "Stage1" and there's no substitution for a good Dyno tune. The FP3 or any aftermarket tuner that allows you to auto-tune the motor will get you relatively close to where the tune should be but there's more there that only a competent Tuner can dial in.

I have SE A/C, V&H Power Duals and Monster Rounds with an FP3 on my 2015 Ultra Classic, and I'm very happy with this setup. As stated earlier, choose the map for your combo, download, then auto tune. It's that easy and the results are great.

What he said. There are canned maps, auto tuners, and a competent dyno tune: bronze, silver, gold.
