Default Christmas Day Ride In Michigan...

My wife and I headed out today for an hour and half ride with Sunny, 46 degree temps and a mild 3 mph breeze.

My dirt road was damp but not muddy and the pavement was dry. Rain Monday and Tuesday washed off all the salt from last Friday's snow storm. That snow only stuck that evening, and was only the second snow fall so far this winter season.

Sure was sweet to be able to do this on Christmas. Didn't see anyone else riding at all. A lot of thumbs up and waves from the cagers.

What wacky weather we've had this winter!

Good stuff. I was able to get out yesterday (68 degrees). I've never ridden this late in the season. Felt great.

Got a Christmas day ride in myself. The high temp that the bike showed was 65* I wanted to make a run out to Montauk but the south half of the Island was shrouded in fog. Made one more trip to Orient, hug a U-turn, and was home in time for Christmas dinner with the family. Nice day for a ride, warm temps, the sun came out and NO traffic. Merry Christmas to all.

Envious. Mine is away for winter.....and I'm somewhat nursing torn meniscus....scope on Jan 4..... But if not for that..... Did play golf back in 90's on Christmas day! Unusual for Michigan!
Kudos to you!

Cool. I'm by Lansing and I did think about it but had to much going on today.

I keep kicking myself for putting mine in storage. Not very often you can ride on Christmas day. This is only the 12th time since 1923 that West Michigan has had a "green" Christmas.

Christmas day, 70 degrees here in Maryland.
We got in a 60 mile ride for lunch and got home just before it started raining.
Cathy's '13 Canam and my '57FL.
