Default Bucket list item (sort of) -- Christmas Day ride.

Guys in the southern half of the country probably won't understand, but for some years now I've wanted to go for a Christmas day ride. This year was finally suitable, so off I went for a nice short one. Roads were clear, dry, and (mostly) empty of traffic. 30 degrees, no wind, really nice. Stopped in a twisty part of the Kettle Moraine forest near my home and shut down the bike to snap a few pics. I was far enough back in the woods and there was so little traffic that it was absolutely and utterly silent, so I sat for a few minutes and just soaked it up. Back on the bike it felt great, I could have rode all day, but missing the family get together probably wouldn't have gone over too well. If you get the chance sometime, don't fret about the cold, just get out there.

I took a ride Christmas day too. 60 degrees, way above normal temps for Pennsylvania. It was a really foggy day too so it was a wet ride due to the moisture in the air. But overall it felt real good to get in the wind even if it was only a little while
