Default Fat Boy Chrome Wheels

Hi All,
Looking for some feedback on Fat Boy chrome wheels, how they wear over time, does the chrome wear well or does the chrome crack or bubble etc.
Also can any one tell me if a std exhaust from a 2013 fat boy will fit a 99 evo fat boy.
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to you all

I had a '13 Fat Boy for 2 years. Wish I still had it. Didn't ride much the last year, so it only had 25,000 miles. I live near the ocean & the factory wheels didn't show any wear, pits or damage.

You may get more responses from the Softail forum. Btw, crosswinds didn't seem to bother my FB with solid wheels as much as my old Electra Glide Classic did with a batwing fairing and tourpak.

How well the chrome holds up depends on how well it was chromed. Preparation of the surface is important as is maintenance of the chrome. And as Daytona Fat Boy said, I have never had any problems with crosswinds.

My favorite thing about my 2015 Fat Boy are the chrome wheels. They are a snap to clean and wax -- infinitely better than spokes. While my bike is too new for me to speak of the chrome's durability, it appears to be first-rate and I have seen many older Fat Boys where the chrome wheels look exactly like new.

I have been in lots of strong cross-wind situations and never noticed an issue with the solid wheels. An urban myth IMSOHO.

Absolutely love the Fat Boy!
