Default Softail springer lowering?? Need help

Have a 2001 Softail springer. Just purchased rear lowering shocks and new front and rear wheels 16 and 21. Need advice on the best way to do the front end. Just leave stock or lower with springs or rockers. Front end needs service already so trying to do all at once. Any and all tips are a help

Don't have the URL handy, but a company makes a raked kit for the springers to add 4 or 7.5 degrees. Will lower 1 - 1.5 inches.

Do yourself a favor and leave the front alone.

Just curious, but why are you lowering a soft tail anyway? For looks or are you that vertically challenged?

Yes slightly vertical challenge. But was lowering rear for looks and comfort. Shocks are adjustable. But wasn't sure how low to go before I start to affect the riding. My main thing is the front. Bc I already have wheel on the way and I need front end serviced because it cannot be packed anymore. So figure while I address the front maybe if the 21 raises the front too much I can lower it. Don't really want to change the rake personally. And lowering springs are last resort I guess. Bc it's a spring so I am assuming smaller spring means bottoming out easier

Like LiiT says leave it alone. if you must use the rockers and not the springs.

I'd leave it alone, everyone I've ever know with a springer that screwed with the suspension has dropped or wrecked it.

Granted, it's your bike and you can do with it what you want to but from the people that I know around here and from owning one for almost 11 years, just leave it alone.
