My father owned a motorcycle business from 1964 until 1982. During this period, from 1976 until 1982, he was an authorized Harley-Davidson Dealer. As you may know, during these years AMF owned H-D, thus not the best years for H-D. I am trying to find some old records from the factory on my father's H-D dealership, does anyone know whom I can contact?

This may seem like a dumb question, but have you tried contacting H-D directly, either customer relations or media relations or something?

 

Maybe the HD Museum historian...they have tons of stuff.
