Default This isn't a competition ... History of Deuce vs Wife

The '07 Deuce that I picked up in Dallas recently arrived at my Houston home just in time for the long MLK weekend. After a ride all three days, and several hours in the garage looking everything over to find out what all has been done to the bike, my wife said something like this >

"You've spent more time researching that bike's history than you did mine before we got married." Come on, Honey ... I don't need to know that kind of historical information! But I do need to know what's installed on the bike so I can plan any mods / upgrades. Makes sense, right?!

Turns out the Stage 1 set-up is the Vance & Hines V02 air intake, plus Rush slash down slip on mufflers, running 1.75" baffles. It runs and sounds like a dream! It was weird seeing a "6" pop up on my speedo yesterday. I'm used to that on my Buell 1125R, but first time seeing it on a H-D.

Another great find recently - These forums! Lots of cool folks here ...

That's a clean looking Deuce. Don't mess it up with useless junk & live to ride garbage. Just ride it.

I did the "Live to Ride" theme on my first H-D ... Already cleared that phase. Plan for this one is to do just that - Ride it, spend less time polishing it.

No wild plans for this one. Please remind me I said that if you see me going off the rails. The white gold pearl was what caught my eye. I'll take it!

Nice looking Deuce - although I think you need to make amends with the wife - maybe a new HD shirt or something equitable like dinner at a 5 star restaurant....,.

Hey...I used to win burn-out contests on that bike all over the greater Houston area!
Didn't use "6" much. No torque in it. So that 6th gear is like brand new still.
J/K. Enjoy.
