Default Oil Pressure 32?

Was noticing my oil pressure drops real low when idling at a light and then goes back to 32 psi when resuming at speed. Is this normal, or signs of needing a new oil pump? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.....

To me it's a sign that everything is fine.

That's completely normal. Nothing to get all worked up over.

There are ways to increase it's idle pressure. Mine sits at 20 psi at idle now.

What year is your bike? That used to be the pressures on my '03. After the SE. Tensioner/Oil Pump upgrade, idles around 12, 45 under load.

Harleys being roller engines. they relay on volume, rather than pressure.

Yep. An oil pressure gauge on a Harley is only good for anxiety & grey hair. I prefer to run a indicator light & that's it.

My brand new SG (110) has 14 psi at idle and 33 psi when riding. So yeah, normal.

if you're freaking out now, just wait until summer when it's 100-110* outside and your oil pressure looks like it's at zero

your situation is normal. if the red oil light comes on your gauges, then you need to panic.....
