Default Stage 4 103 and FP3

Is anyone out there running a stage 4 103 and using FP3? If so what map are you using?

If I had gone to a Stage 4, I'd be on a dyno rather than somebody's canned map.

The FP 3 starts with a canned map, but in tune mode collects data to give you a custom tune for your ride and how you use it. The only problem that I see would be getting that initial map for your Stage 4, but V&H can be very helpful if you call them.

Stage 4 and canned map or tuned map are contradiction of terms.

You guys don't understand how the FP3 works. Even when you go in for a dyno, you are starting with a map in your ECM, and they flash that map after tuning.

The FP3 is NOT an inline tuner, always connected to "fool" your ECM. It is more closely related to the SE race tuner, not giving you as much tuning flexibility, but also costing less than half as much.

Actually if you leave it plugged in and do an auto tune, it will learn your perameters. All you have to do is use this tune as your download. If you have access to a dyno, or dyno operator you can dyno tune it in auto tune more accurately. It requires X amount of time each gear and throttle position to properly auto tune.

Yes, I know, I used one on my bike. You have to leave it connected in order to "learn" how your bike operates. Once it's collected enough data, then you tell it to tune, which is when it re-flashes. Once you re-flash, it's up to you if you want to leave it connected or not. While connected you can view many different pieces of operating information via your phone app.

Yes, a dyno and something like the SE super tuner will give you a finer tune, but I doubt that most would notice the difference except for on a track.
