With the addition of a second S model with the 110 looks like HD is headed in that direction. That is how HD started out with the 103. Made it available on a couple of models.

 

Probably right since the 110 is standard on the Indian and then HD will probably make the 120 standard on the CVO

 

So when will they increase the Hp and CCs on the Sportsters ? And give it a six speed tranny ?

 

I thought the Sportsters still have the Evo in it?

 

I thought the Street was supposed to replace the Sportster.

 

I feel by looking at Harleys track record, the next bigger CVO engine will be the 113. and the standard will be the 110

i can remember my telling me a story about having a bicycle with a small motor mounted to the font end, top speed was about 25mph. then dad started buying motorcycles with 25hp and 35hp and on and on. same with car motors and boat motors. given enough time harley davidson will surely produce standard factory bikes with more and more hp. limiting factors will be the epa or other governing body sticking their nose into something they shouldn't. or, insurance companies putting pressure on harley when there are enough dead people plastered to telephone poles from losing control of 200hp plus motorcycles.

 

As long as unelected government bureaucrats in the EPA can legally twist the arms and drain the pockets of American engine manufacturers with ridiculous mileage and emissions mandates, expect even bigger bores until somebody either removes them or reins them in.

I figured the 110's as being the standard engines were just around corner after the 103s became standard.

 

CVO engine with only 3 more cubes than the standard engine would be a tough sell IMO.

My money's on the 120ST.
