Foot down, full stop... every time?
I am very lucky to have a couple of the best riding buddies anyone could ever hope for. One, Ron at age 75 brings nearly 60 years of Harley/BMW experience to every ride. The other, Alex is a retired CHP Motor Officer with 27 years of experience out on the streets.
As we were planning tomorrows ride Alex noted that we all three had gotten into a careless, dangerous habit of late. We pull up to a stop sign or light, look left and roll through it without actually coming to a full stop much less actually putting a foot down.
He pled just as guilty as the rest of us but noted that usually it works for four or five times and then... the next time, there is someone coming, often faster than they should and there we are hanging out in the proverbial danger zone. We agreed to make it point from now on to go ahead and do it right, full stop, foot down... EVERY time. We are headed to the local Elks Club for breakfast in the morning followed by a a nice long ride and will see how well we follow our new resolve soo...
What about everybody else? Is this an issue? What does everybody "really" do?
Be safe out there my brothers!

Challenge yourself. Make a full stop, pause for 3 seconds, THEN go. All while keeping BOTH feet on the pegs.Try to do it every-time.
Another challenge: Try to ride in a 100% law abiding way for a day or an hour. Don't speed, do not merge w/o signaling, no wheelies, etc. (Yeah, right!) See how good you can do it.

Do it all the time. Not saying I don't bend the rules every now and then, but I'm pretty good about it on the bike. Now the car or truck....that's a different story!!!!!
