Default This Weather Is So Enticing...

We've had unseasonably warm temps here in the northeast. It's so tempting to take the bike out of storage and take her for a spin. But, there hasn't been enough rain to wash away all that salt onthe roads. Frustrating! I know that salted roads doesn't stop some of us from riding, but I don't want to risk corrosion. Just ranting on a Sunday morning, that's all.

It's warm here too...supposed to go up to 81°. That's about 30-40° higher than normal.

Go for a ride! Wash bike when you get home.

Call me paranoid, but too many nooks/crannys where that salt can go. Don't want to do it to a 20-something grand bike. I've been throwing around picking up a cheap jap bike for times/winters like this. It would also allow me to commute to work(short commute) and park the bike without worry. Don't get me wrong, I love my limited and FXSTC, but anything on 2 wheels brings a smile to my face.

Beautiful weather here for this time of the year and I am stuck in the house tied to a pager for work....
I keep watching bike after bike ride past my house.
My only consolation is that I am racking up OT to buy more parts.

Sucks, but that is life.

My '97 Suzuki DR650 is always ready to go, while my other bikes are hibernating.

Beutiful day here, almost 50*. I was tempted to take the bike out for a while but the snow along the roads is melting an leaving salt filled wet roads and puddles. I don't feel like washing and cleaning the bike so I'll curb my impatience and wait for better weather.

Beautiful day here too and I'm stuck at work. Hoping for another nice day later in the week so I can put a few miles in.
