Stock wires will be fine but I like big fat wires like these

And run them with NGK Iridium spark plugs in my 98 Fatboy.

But I'm way cool.

I ran those in a truck I used to have and I didn't notice any difference in the way it ran. I wouldn't waste my money.

Well just a minute there Nightmare30, I really do run NGK Iridium spark plugs and notice a difference, way better than any other plugs I have used. The fat wires too and I love them, look great and work way better than the stock old worn out ones I replaced.

Part of the fun is doing things to your bike, trying different plugs and stuff, and I personally find my eight dollar plugs to work better than the two dollar ones, and I can afford the difference, same with the wires.

I even put a fifty dollar oil pressure gauge on my old evo, and these old evos don't need them, but I like the look of one over the tappet filter screen cap so I went for it, and I like it.

I say if you want to try something, go for it, and if in the case of your plugs, and I have never tried those, your out twenty bucks so what, you had the fun of trying them out. Heck, you might even like fat wires too.

And by the way, I'm not really cool as stated in my previous post, but welcome to the forum and enjoy your adventure with that wonderful machine and new friends you will find here.
