Can be done (anything can be done), but no way the juice would be worth the squeeze. If you want FI, sell what you have and buy one with FI from stock.

I have a 89 FXRS with the motor in parts. It was to be a late winter project. But I came up with a 103 from a 13 Dyna that all I have to do is get the wiring harness, trans and different front motor mount. It has the ECM and complete intake.

That should be less than what it would take to get a ecm, FI manifold, injectors, fuel rail, wiring harness and tune plus what ever else is needed for the EVO. Cams and flow the heads would gain more power than just FI would.

In the Dyna section someone is posting their 120R into a FXR so all the stuff is available it just depends on cost for the gain.

FI is no replacement for shitty carb and timing tuning skills. The throttle response on my old carb'd evo is so snappy and crisp I can power wheelie in 2nd gear. No reason you can't get yours tuned just as good.

You have a simple, easy to tune set up. Why do ya wanna go and make it all complicated?

The FXR is the best motorcycle the MoCo ever built, IMHO. Try to find a HD Service Manual. Don't waste your time on EFI.

If you're not happy with the S&S carb, you might consider the Mikuni HSR42.

I had one on my 1990 FXRS-sp and it was great right out-of-the-box.

I have an S&S Super E on my Softail and I had one on my FXLR and evo FXST. I loved them all and really don't see the need to go FI unless you have a real need.
