A riding friend had his knee replaced last year.

1. LISTEN to your doc and do the rehab!
2. If you want to enjoy riding again, do NOT rush the schedule!
3. Everybody is different. Don't worry, you'll absolutely be riding this spring.

Good luck!

About 8 weeks for me. At 12 weeks I took a 2700 mile ride in six days with my new knee. Do your rehab religiously, it is a brutal operation and you have to build those muscles up again. Still causes me quite a bit of pain at nearly 10 months but I am told that will subside.

I'm into the 5th week, left knee, Stryker Triathlon.
I've got full relax (0°)and pulling about 112° myself, they can push it to 122° flex. Still get's stressed after PT though,, gotta keep doing the exercise's!
I'm in Minn so I ain't riding for a while yet, but I'm sure I could today if I wanted to. I'm not sure how long I could comfortably stay in the same position yet.
I'm running forwards on an 09 Dyna, I'm gonna add stirrups up front and still have the mid-pegs to come back to for switching around. I don't think there'll be a problem.

I had arthroscopic surgery on one knee about five years ago. The meniscus was so shredded they couldn't repair it, so they just trimmed it all off. Luckily my pain went straight to zero after the procedure.

However, the doc told me to take care of it, because there's nothing left to do. Once it starts hurting again, whether it's 5 years down the road or 15, my only option is a new knee.

Got my fingers crossed. So far, so good.
